Purple Rain

Isn’t it great when one product can inspire an entire look? It’s even better when a whole bunch of your new makeup is in the same shade range and come together so perfectly. I think the star of this look is the lips – MAKE UP FOREVER’s new Artist Liquid Matte Liquid Lipstick in the color “105 – Rosewood”. It is such a unique color with a mix of dusty rose, grey toned mauve ish purple – the pictures describe it best.

When I know what lip I want, I will do my foundation/concealer and then put on my lip color and let that inspire the rest of the face. I recently got the Quo Spring collection eye palette in “rock it” that has a matte dusty purple shade that complimented the lip so well it inspired me to continue the monochromatic vibe. I finished the face with a PURPLE highlight- yup, PURPLE!  Another newbie to my collection is the Stila heaven’s hue highlighter in “transcendence” which gives a really cool slighty frost, slighty holographic glow to your face depending on the lighting.

  1. You’re so pretty! I love that shade of purple, it looks great on you. The highlighter is pretty as well. I’ve been using a Becca highlighter, but I’m always open to trying new highlighters so I will have to check out Stila’s.

  2. That highlight looks amazing on you!
I usually know my lipstick color and never thought to let it inspire my look the way you described. What a great tip!
