Okay makeup addicts, I know I am extremely late to the party but better late than never right?
The Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics collaboration came out the end of last year and I was a bit hesitant at first, being priced at $12.50 for 10 shadows and 4 highlights sounded a bit too good to be true, right? Not to mention shipping to Canada was also $12.50 so I got turned off by it (ps shipping to Canada is now only $5). Fast forward months later, consistently hearing everyone raving about this palette I felt like the uncool kid at the party and I needed to get in on the action. Oh and of course I can’t allow the palette to be lonely during shipping – so I added two liquid lipsticks in my basket to keep it company (I am so thoughtful, I know).
The shipping was surprisingly very fast, I got it within a week of my order. It was packaged tightly with bubble wrap so all the shadows were intact and perfect on arrival, and oh man is this palette perfect. Aesthetically the packaging is pleasing to the eye, comes with a mirror inside and the color selection of the shadows are a range of neutrals and earthy tones, with deep purples and green.
My first look I focused on the top row by using a neutral lid and adding the purples around the crease and outer corner which went perfect with the liquid lipstick I got in “bewitched”. All the colors were very pigmented, smooth and blended out like any high end shadows. I used the light pink shade for my nose highlight (tip for Carli Bybel) and then showered myself with the two lightest highlights. I think the pictures speak for themselves but seriously – “highlight on fleek”. Uh sorry I am so not cool, I regret it already so let’s just let the pictures speak for themselves.
PS Carli Bybel has a new fashion collaboration with Miss Guided! Whose excited to be broke with me?
