This past Thursday night the Sunnybrook Next Generation held their 3rd annual Arygle Affair – a charity event for research at Sunnybrook hospital. This years event was held at the beautiful Arcadian Loft over looking old city hall and our infamous “Toronto” sign. The theme of the night was “The art of night edition” which was evident the moment you walked in. The entire space was filled with art pieces by Jessica Gorlicky who was also doing live painting on the DJ booth as well as two live pieces of the legendary Prince and Superman. If you caught the art fever, there was a huge blank canvas, paint and brushes for guests to paint something of their own.
Did I mention this event was on a Thursday night? But it sure felt like a Sunday morning to everyone in attendance. The artist had showcased her pieces of cartoons we grew up with and cereal boxes. Oh and to accompany the art, a fully stocked cereal bar! Yup, imagine all your favorite cereals, with milk, bowls and spoons to sit and enjoy in front of the screens playing clips of The Flinstones and The Jetsons!
When you were ready to be a grown up again, there was the most delicious catered food from Oliver & Bonacini, full bar, raffles, silent auction and of course no event is complete without a photo booth (courtesy of So Pro Studios).
