New year, new makeup. The beginning of 2017 brings some great additions to the Quo Cosmetics lineup. If you have ever been shy about trying Quo cosmetics products I am here to change your mind .
Here is a roundup of some of the new things to look out for next time you are at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Quo Nourish and Prime Hydrating Primer ($24) – this light pink primer goes on incredibly soft and smooth onto your skin giving you a burst of moisture and leaving your skin feeling plump and hydrated for your makeup. It feels so amazing on your skin, absorbs very quickly and is a definite must try!
Quo Matte Revolution Foundation ($24) – a true full coverage foundation with a matte finish without looking flat. This foundation gives you a really nice luminous finish and gives you coverage for the entire day without drying or creasing. The only downfall to this foundation is that it ONLY comes in 5 colours (picture above #4 & #3), which alternate from neutral to yellow tones. Let’s hope they extend their range because it’s honestly an amazing foundation and has become one of my favorites.
Quo Concealer Palette ($19)- one set palette with 4 shades ranging from a light to a medium colour. At first dip these concealer are insanely creamy and thick which ends up being a downfall making it hard to spread a thin layer to blend and prone to major creasing. This could use a drop of beauty oil to thin it out which would sit on your face better. I like the color combinations allowing you to mix for a perfect conceal and highlight look. You need a tiny dab to spot conceal which will give you a medium – full coverage.
Quo Matte Bronzer “medium tan” ($19) – a contours dream come true. This bronzer is Matte with zero shimmer, very pigmented and cool toned making it the perfect product to contour with. My go to contour powder for the past few months is the Quo contour kit from their Holiday collection so I am incredibly happy this bronzer is a permanent addition in such great packaging too! (also comes in Light Tan)
Quo Bronzer Duo Golden Glow ($19) – this bronzer has a glow and shimmer to it, when you swirl your brush in the middle you get a really pretty bronze finish to your makeup. I like to use this when I want my entire face to have that sunkissed bronze look. (also comes in South Beach)
Quo Blush Duo ($16) – firstly this packaging is so amazing. It has a magnetic see through case that allows you to see your shade. This duo shades let’s you swirl and get a really pretty flush of color. This shade in particular (Just Blush) gives your skin a really natural blush without overpowering your face with too much color.
Quo lip velour ($14) – this is an exciting product because it’s essentially a liquid lipstick formula, which dries matte and is long lasting but this one doesn’t dry down 100% so there is a bit of transfer. They come in a really good selection of 6 colors that look incredibly beautifully on and feel comfortable on. The wand is just a tiny brush allowing you to apply it with ease. It lasts for a few hours depending on your wear but you will definitely need to keep it on hand for touch ups. I found the lighter colors to be streaky and need a few coats to get an even coverage however the darkest one applied with ease. (swatched above- Angelic, Bombshell, Vixen)
Quo Makeup Setting Spray ($19) – to finish off your look they have added a setting spray to the collection. It is really hard to find a good setting spray in the drug store so I am so glad to have this! It has a really nice scent to it, sets your makeup into place all day and melts all the powders into your skin so you will not look cakey. I use it throughout my makeup process to make sure everything sets nicely and it has been working amazing.
