How to create the perfect #motd

The most important, yet sometimes most difficult part to perfect in your makeup routine is the skin. No matter how minimal or glam you decide to be, it always comes down to your complexion and creating the perfect base – it can make or break your look.

It took me a while to find the perfect

Primer: Wet n Wild photofocus Dewy face primer

Worn under makeup, alone or as an extra glow this primer gives your skin the most illuminating, glowing look without getting greasy. (there is a matte version if you tend to be extra oily)

Foundation: Maybelline SuperStay foundation

HOLY GRAIL! This has to be one of my most favourite foundations of all time. It is the one I reach for daily, pushing away the most high end ones. It gives you full coverage, so you only need a little without getting leaving your skin looking absolutely flawless. (some shades tend to oxidize so you might need to reach for a lighter shade – I use 220).

Concealer: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Concealer Camouflage + 24 hr wear

This is a fairly new launch but I promise you it will become your new favorite. It is super light weight, so you can build it up for more coverage. It leaves the area looking absolutely flawless without a crease in sight.

Set: Nude by Nature powder Foundation

Obviously as a foundation this can be used alone if you are looking for a light coverage. Personally this works best over a liquid foundation to set and give you an absolutely airbrushed finished. The powders are so incredibly fine that you do not see any product on your face and never looking chalky. Using a powder base also helps blend out future products in your routine (bronzer, blush etc.)

Setting Concealer/Baking: Dermablend Loose setting powder

For those baking lovers, this is an absolutely flawless, finely milled setting powder. Not to mention, you can find Dermablend at the drugstore! This powder works just as amazing to do a quick set and brighten up your concealed areas to give you an airbrushed finish.

Finishing Spray: MAC Prep +Prime Fix +

Many others have come however the MAC setting spray will always be the ultimate go to. This spray will melt all the products (especially powders) into your skin so you look perfect for hours on end. You can use this spray throughout your makeup and to intensify powders but YOU MUST use it as your last step for a perfect finished look!
