A few weeks ago I was invited to a L’Oréal event with Sir John (celebrity makeup artist-currently doing the glam for Beyoncé) who is a L’Oréal Paris ambassador and gave us a mini master class using some of the new L’Oréal Infallible products. Followed by the masterclass was a cocktail party where all the new products were on display which included skincare, hair products and makeup.
Starting with skincare the two new products I got to try was the L’Oréal Micellar water and the L’Oréal Hydra Genius. I think by now you know the power of an amazing Micellar water and the importance of it in your nightly routine and what makes the L’Oréal one so good is that it is fragrance free, works smoothly on sensitive skin and removes EVERYTHING aka waterproof makeup and liquid lipsticks was forced to surrender.
The L’Oréal Hydra Genius is a moisturizer made with aloe that hydrates your skin for 72 hours and three hyaluronic acids gives your skin an amazing plumped glow by reducing water loss. This has been unbelievable for dry, winter time skin and I have been using it every single day for all of its benefits (and refreshing scent mm).
I am super excited about the new launches in the hair care department introducing the L’Oréal Colorista. The L’Oréal Colorista is a temporary hair dye that comes in 11 different colors that lasts 4-8 washes aka a month for lazy girls like me. I picked up the color #Purple400 and will be trying it out within the next week (for fashion week) so stay tuned for my post dedicated to that!
Lastly is all new additions to L’Oréal makeup line which highlights the new L’Oréal Infallible Pro Cover foundation, Infallible blush and Infallible lip paints.
The Infallible collections have created such a huge buzz with the Pro Matte, Pro Glow and now the best one of the bunch (in my opinion) the Pro Cover. Here are the reasons this one is my favorite;
- FULL coverage
- Natural Finish
But seriously a quick run down of the Pro Cover foundation. It comes in a thinner, squeeze tube which I find easier for travel and to get product out. It is quite a thick, mousse texture- I find the best application is with a flat foundation brush to get an even coverage or lightly dab it and blend with an oval brush. Just like any other L’Oreal foundation, it comes in 12 different shades. The finish is a full coverage, near matte but very natural looking. I personally found the Pro Matte to be too matte and a bit drying so this is the perfect upgrade for my skin type. I get oily in the T-zone throughout the day but it didn’t cause any greasy feeling on my face nor did it clump up the foundation however near my nose it did clinch on to some dry patches (its a problem for me with many products) so I avoid that area. Overall I absolutely love this foundation and has become the one I reach for on a daily basis.
PS I wanted to try for myself if this foundation could cover up a tattoo (as seen in their ads) and it worked perfectly! If that doesn’t show you how full coverage this is, I don’t know what else will.
The L’Oréal Infallible Paints Blush comes with 4 different shades ranging from a light peach to a brighter pink. These blushes are insanely pigmented, with one touch you get a huge payoff that work amazing on a large scale on skin tones and lasts all day. I love when blushes come in a palette because I love to mix together a few colors and makes it very travel friendly.
End off your look with a L’Oréal Infallible lip paint, which is a newborn baby mixed with a liquid lipstick, lip gloss and even lip balm. It really is the best of all these world’s. With a variety of 13 colors, the L’Oréal Infallible lip paints are insanely pigmented with just one swipe you have a full coverage lipstick with the high shine of a gloss. These stay on for a 5-6 hours before you want to reapply (the pigment is there however the gloss fades). Below are the swatches of each color with just one swipe (minus 308 Navy Spy).
300 Lilac Lust – 302 Violet Twist – 304 Bewitching Bordeaux – 310 Taupeless – 312 Nude Star – 314 Spicy Blush – 316 Wild Rose – 318 Fearless Fuschia – 320 Cool Coral – 322 Orange Envy – 324 DIY Red – 326 Sulty Sangria
